Black Marriage Standing Strong 2014 Award

Please take time to nominate a deserving couple for “The Black Marriage Standing Strong Couple of the Year Award“. This is a couple who chose to stand strong for their marriage despite the trials and tribulations that life has brought their way. This is a couple you believe exemplify a beautiful marriage and is an example to all married couples. and best represents what The Black Marriage Movement stands for in their mission to decrease the high divorce rate among African American Marriages (between 1 man and 1 woman where one spouse identifies as African American or Black) by promoting and strengthening African American/Black Marriages through education, recreation and celebration.

CRITERIA FOR NOMINATION:

  1. The nominated couple must be 1 man – 1 woman who is married and at least one spouse must identify as African American or Black.
  2. The nominated couple must be able to attend the Seattle Fall Ball on Oct. 24th, 2014 if selected (If they are not already paid to attend a ticket will be provided). go to www.TheBlackMarriageMovement/SeattleFallBall for more info.
  3.  The nominated couple must be willing to allow us to share their powerful testimony to all (with discretion) as a witness of a marriage that is standing strong despite the option to get a divorce
  4. The nominator must fill out all info on the nomination form and submit by Sept. 26th, 2014

WINNER: If selected the the winner will receive:

1) An award from The Black Marriage Movement (presented at the Seattle Fall Ball on Oct. 24th, 2014.

2) Admission to the 2014 Seattle Fall Ball or a Credit to the Seattle Fall Ball next year if the winner already purchased their ticket for this year.

3) A couples gift package from The Black Marriage Movement.
